Auction Resource claims to be the "#1 Source for Seized and Surplus Property". According to the website, this includes government and police auctions, US Marshals, FBI, IRS, DEA, US Customs, and more than 4,000 live and online auction listings.

I checked the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page on the website to see what kinds of auctions are listed in the database. According to the FAQ, the listings include Federal/government auctions in all 50 US states (including geographic location, date/time, website and contact phone numbers), as well as some listings of some local and non-government auctions. In other words, the database seems to be only really aimed at US automobile buyers - which I suppose I should have expected given the rather large stars and stripes flag appearing in the website's header!

One cool feature that I rather liked on the website is the Testimonials page. It shows some examples of items purchased at previous auctions (including not only motor vehicles, but a bunch of other items including land, property, laptop computers, a ring, etc.), and the purchase price that they were sold for. Of course, there's absolute no guarantee that you will find similar auctions in future, but it's good to know what other people have bought and for how much!

Like many similar sites, the way that the Auction Resource site works is on a membership basis. You pay to become a member, and then you get access to the information contained within. At the time of writing, there appears to be only a single membership option - you pay a one-time fee, and then you get 12 months unlimited access to the member's area (no recurring billing).
